Some updates – a new blog, messiness, cats, fabrics, and a failure.

I’m trying my hardest to finish up the yearbook before we go on our trip (I’m the yearbook advisor, my last year), so I’ve been staring at the computer screen all day for the past two weeks, and not for decor/house/blogging reasons. Sad. I haven’t even read the latest Lonny.

Some updates:

1. New Blog.

While I’ve been in Yearbook World, Nick’s getting ready for our trip.Β  I thought I would help him out and do my part to get ready for our trip. I started a new blog! It’s mainly for family but if any one of you wants to follow our trip to central america, you’re welcome to hop over and read about our adventures. I have no idea how often we’ll post, but we’ll try our best. It’ll be our travel journal instead of something on paper. It’s at wheresthevitas.wordpress.com. Only one post up – it’ll start for real next week.

2. Garage Still Not Clean.

The garage is not clean yet. We need to clean it so I can finish our stupid white table and stupid white chairs. I really love them and how they look white, but they are stupid to me until they are OUT of our living room. I think these stupid pieces of furniture has been in the room for over two months. How stupid is that? I want to finish these stupid things before we go on our trip!

3. Cats Still Mischievous.

I guess we will never go for open shelving in the kitchen. Because whenever I leave a cabinet door open for 2 seconds, this is what happens.

4. Two New Fabrics Waiting Patiently in House.

The yellow fabric for our office chair has arrived! And – I bought this purple fabric on a whim at Joann’s. It was my first whim purchase at a fabric store. I love that. I buy jewelry on a whim. I buy mixed nuts on a whim. I don’t buy fabric on a whim. But I guess I do now! I hope to continue this habit.

This fabric’s goal in life is to cover a couple of pillows that will rest on our sofa in our bedroom. (No, I have not decided which sofa we’ll get yet. Did I say sofa?? I mean, chaise. We will decide after our vacay.)

5. Countdown to Cancun List a Epic Fail.

It’s very embarrassing, but it’ll be changed to “Things To Look Forward After Cancun”.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You have been doing a lot for school, or to your life…What I am trying to say, just do what you can do. πŸ™‚ I have been living in the new house for about two months, and not a thing have been changed, and there a lot that NEED to be changed. Ugh, a lot of project laying around in the garage. And I rarely blog when I say I will. I am bad with time management. Ok, enough with pulling myself down..
Enjoy your vacation! I am drooling over here. But soon, we will be vacationing in Las Vegas in July, but it is nothing compare to where you are going, phffty.. Be safe.

  6. FUN updates =) Little Dolly’s right, don’t be hard on yourself. I, myself, have seen firsthand how uneasy it is to do house projects between work and life. I say it’s impossible, but it’s not true because you’ve been doing it, some. =D I’m so looking forward to when i’m OFF for the summer and then i’ll see how much i can get done around here! I definitely will be following your journal on your travels. Bon Voyage
