I see the light at the end of the tunnel…

The new rug is in!

It all looks great and bright and happy.

Lots of yellow, though. Time to layer in some more colors!

Didn’t Nick do such a great job with the makeover of the coffee table?

But when I look at our living room, I see these weird words and pink circles floating around the room…

Then I have to shake my head and tell myself to shut up…

And just enjoy.

We’re getting there, one step at a time.

  5. You and I are so similar in that we think 10 steps ahead. Maybe it’s pregnancy?! No, who am I kidding, that’s me all the time! Love the rug. It’s perfect with your grey couch and newly painted coffee table!

  6. OMG, do we have the same brain? That is exactly how I look at my space: as a list of things I want to fix – complete with weird words and pink bubbles. 🙂 When people come over or I put pics up on my blog, I always want to clarify: “This is how the room looks now, BUT — ”

Anyway, I love love LOOOOVE your room! Wow, it is so happy and beautiful. You really can’t go wrong with the foundation you’ve already laid.

  11. Nice! I found my eye drawn to that teal blanket draped over the couch arm… That would be a great color to go with the grays and yellows in the room! Thanks for linking up to Roomspiration today! 🙂

  12. Cute post! I think we all suffer from the voices in our head’s telling us we need to add this or that to a room to make it finished…it’s looking great! Take time to enjoy it before the voices start up again.

  13. Ha! I am the EXACT SAME WAY!!! I always hate to show pictures of my home because I want to include like 30 asterisks of what I want to change!
    Love your rug!!!

  14. I think I will always love that rug. It looks fabulous with your gray couch! And that coffee table is adorable! I do the same thing with rooms but I’m trying to get better at being patient, content, and, like you said, just enjoying what I already have. 🙂
